Hunger Games

I started reading the Hunger Games series this weekend and It has been thrilling.  It's extremely suspenseful and keeps me reading.  The book starts of In District 12 through the eyes of a 16 year old girl named Katniss.  She grows up learning to hunt from her father.  He is blown up in a mine explosion.  After he dies  she uses the abilities her father taught to keep her family going through food and other supplies.  The book starts on the day of the reaping.  The reaping is the day two children are taken from each of the 12 Districts.   A single girl and boy.  You are entered at the age of twelve with two ballots every year its multiplied by two.  Katniss' little sister just turned 12 and It's her first reaping.  As the reaping comes and everyone is at the plaza.  Katniss' little sister Prim has only two ballots out of thousands and her name is drawn.  Katniss volunteers in her place.  She Is traveled through train to Capitol were the Hunger Games are held.  The Hunger Games is a bloody battle between 24 children who fight to the death in a man made arena.  She gets to Capital and is amazed by everything especially the food.  Finally the Hunger Games come....
